Research - Nichols' six modes of representation in documentary films

At initial stage of research,  I want to have a big picture and over view of documentary, therefore I can start my planning and practice technical skills. So I started with research the types of documentary. I was really interested by expository documentary and participatory documentary, but however, I will keep doing research and keep my mind open to not get trapped in certain one type of any of documentaries.
